Snowmobile Around Vail
For the ultimate snowmobile experience, Nova offers a half-day and full-day excursion at our primary Camp Hale location. The Top of the Rockies tours include endless miles of open meadows and spectacular 360-degree, panoramic views of four surrounding mountain ranges, as well as the Continental Divide.
Operating snowmobile tours in the White River National Forest at Historic Camp Hale, Nova guides reach elevations of 12,500 feet on the largest commercial snowmobile trail system in the Vail and Beaver Creek area. All guided snowmobile tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, a new Ski-Doo snowmobile, boots, and a helmet. The morning half-day tour and full-day tour include lunch.
Nova Guides have a brand new fleet of Ski-Doo snowmobiles for our Top of the Rockies tours. As a single rider, enjoy the power of the four-stroke Renegade Sport 600. If you are doubling up, ride in comfort and enjoy heated handle grips for both the driver and passenger with the four-stroke Grand Touring Sport 600.
Colorado Snowmobile Rentals
At their Camp Hale location, you can choose to rent your own snowmobile. Nova will provide proper safety and operating instructions and a map of the area and you can enjoy the freedom of the Colorado backcountry on your own. Four-stroke trail sleds are suitable for up to two people and you can explore endless miles of pristine trails.
The trails are very straight-forward, as they operate on a groomed snowmobile trail system. Their guides will also provide you with recommendations on where to go depending on the length of your rental. Choose your own time frame and time of day (they start rentals on the hour, every hour, and ask that you arrive 30 minutes early).
With access to the Vail Pass Recreation area within the White River National Forest, you’ll have over 100 miles of trails to choose from! Nova Guides are a 15-mile (30-minute) drive from the Vail and Beaver Creek area. For their location, check out our Map & Directions page.

Beginner and Family-Friendly Snowmobile Tours!
Nova Guides new Ski-Doo snowmobiles are fully automatic and easy to operate. Their two-hour trips include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, a snowmobile, boots and a helmet. Children must be 14 years or older to drive their own snowmobile, and children as young as two years old can ride as a passenger. Trips operate seven days a week and reservations are required. Please bring a warm hat, gloves, sunglasses or goggles, and your camera.
Ages 14 and older can drive their own snowmobile and we recommend passengers be 9 years or older. Listed times are door-to-door times from the Vail and Beaver Creek area.
Snow Cat Tours in Colorado

Your morning snow cat tour departs at 8:30 a.m. and includes lunch. They offer a midday departure at 11:00, which also includes lunch, and the afternoon tour departs at 1:30 p.m. All tours last two hours on the trail plus extra time for transportation and lunch (if included).
